About Séamus
Hello! I am an All-Ireland winner Flute and whistle player from the musical village of Gurteen, home of Michael Coleman, in County Sligo, Ireland. I am the son of well known accordion player PJ Hernon and have been playing music since the early age of 5. I have been playing regular sessions in pubs all around Sligo from when I was 15. In the last few years, I have been tutoring a large number of students from all around the world (Ireland, England, Japan, USA, Canada, Russia, South Corea…). All ages and levels are welcomed and I provide my students with recording through which they can practice the tunes learned in the class. I am a strong believer each person has their own way and pace of learning and I always try to adapt to the students requests and needs.
